Ubisoft has discreetly removed Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag from Steam, leading to renewed speculation about a potential remake. Despite presence of trailers, images, and reviews, the game is no longer available for purchase on the Steam store for an unspecified reason. However, existing owners can still play the game.

Rumors of a possible remake surfaced in June, with sources suggesting that the Ubisoft Singapore team was involved in the early stages of development. It remains uncertain whether the delisting signifies an imminent remake or remaster, as Ubisoft has not issued any official statement. Last year, a similar occurrence happened with Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, causing confusion among users.

Ubisoft later clarified that delisted games would only have their DLC and online features affected. If Black Flag follows the same pattern, its multiplayer online functionality may be compromised. Yet, this is purely conjecture at this moment.
