I've been contemplating a lot about Xatrix Entertainment's old-fashioned shooter game, designed by the man who later became the art director for popular titles like Half-Life 2 and Dishonored. It's been widely known that 3D Realms has been working on a revamp of this game's textures. Today, it was announced that Kingpin: Reloaded will be released on December 5, 2023, specifically for the PC platform.
Kingpin: Reloaded is a revamped version of the classic revenge saga. This first-person shooter game lets you command a street gang and send your recruits on various missions, such as attacking, defending, or even safe-cracking to acquire cash. This earned money can be used to purchase advanced weapons to challenge and defeat your adversaries. Set in a unique noir art deco underworld, the Kingpin maintains supreme control with his brutal dominance. The game's plot thickens when the Kingpin's deputy, Nikki Blanco, leaves a Thug brutally wounded, who then rises with a lead pipe in hand, seeking revenge.
Kingpin: Reloaded is a refresh of the Quake II engine classic, now showcasing enhanced features. These include 4k resolution, ultrawide support, and improved graphics, especially visible in enhanced mode, highlighting the beautifully grim urban landscape. Its controller support makes the game more user-friendly, while the overall enhancements, like the new quest and conversation systems, make Reloaded an even better version than the original Kingpin.
