Netflix has unveiled a new functionality called Moments for its mobile users, enabling them to save, revisit, and distribute scenes from their favorite films and series. This feature is visually represented as a button located at the bottom of the interface next to the playback options. According to the platform, users can capture and share memorable scenes from popular titles like BEEF, Bridgerton, or Nobody Wants This with their friends and family across various social media platforms.
The Moments feature is initially available for iOS users, with plans for Android support to follow in the near future. It is integrated alongside existing playback options such as speed, episode selection, and audio and subtitle choices. This allows users to save their preferred scenes with just a single tap. The clips saved can be found within the My Netflix section of the app.
According to Netflix, users can share these saved moments on social networks like Instagram and Facebook. Furthermore, there is an option to copy the link for sharing privately on other platforms as well.
The introduction of the Moments feature coincides with the launch of the new “It's So Good” campaign, which spotlights special moments featuring personalities such as Cardi B, Simone Biles, and Giancarlo Esposito.
