The anticipated return of PlayStation's Days of Play sale is rumored to be taking place this month. It's that time of year again for PlayStation's Days of Play sale, with reports suggesting a comeback later in the month. Deadlabs has shed light on a report, after translation by VGC, that a well-known source, billbil-kun, has disclosed the start date of this year’s Days of Play sale as Wednesday, May 29, concluding on Wednesday, June 12.
This eagerly awaited event usually prides itself on offering discounts on a wide array of games, including those published by the console's own brand, hardware related to PlayStation, and its subscription offerings like PlayStation Plus. Renowned for accurate revelations regarding Mortal Kombat 1 and updates to PlayStation Plus line-ups in the past, billbil-kun hints at an enticing PlayStation Plus deal included in this year’s Days of Play.
Reflecting on the previous year, where Days of Play granted a 25% reduction across all tiers of PlayStation Plus memberships, it’s anticipated that we might see comparable deals this round. Furthermore, several premier PS5 titles such as God of War Ragnarok and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart saw significant price deductions.
Should the Days of Play 2024 be slated for a launch next week, an official word from Sony might be just around the corner. Additionally, billbil-kun has recently let slip that God of War Ragnarok might be making its way to PC, as the next exclusive PlayStation title to do so, with an announcement expected sometime this month.
While no State of Play presentation has been confirmed by Sony as of yet, speculations predict its occurrence later this spring or early summer. This would ideally time with the supposed announcement for a God of War Ragnarok PC port. In related news, PlayStation has phased out Horizon Zero Dawn from the PS Plus lineup amid whispers of Guerrilla Games preparing to unveil a PlayStation 5 remaster of the 2017 hit. An official reveal of this much-anticipated remaster could potentially be on the agenda, possibly at the speculated State of Play event.
